Celebrating Geisha Spirit from Forest Green Coffee, the second coffee in our Number Five Series! This is our first Colombian coffee, featuring the exquisite Geisha varietal. Sourced from Bella Alejandria Farm under the expertise of Wilder Lazo. Wilder embraced specialty coffee and committed to mastery in coffee genetics, launching a varietal program with over a dozen distinctive coffee varieties, representing a remarkable journey of Colombian coffee.

This Geisha undergoes a meticulous double fermentation process. It begins with hand sorting, floating, and depulping, followed by 140 hours of fermentation in GrainPro bags that enhance its vibrant floral and citric notes. Next, the coffee ferments in tanks for 2 days, then sun-dries for 18 days with tangerine peel, amplifying its floral essence. A 25-day stabilization in GrainPro bags allows the flavors to mature before milling.

At Savorworks, we are grateful to receive these gems from Colombia. Staying true to our medium-light roast, we preserve origin flavors while enhancing body and aftertaste through roasting, expertly handled by our head roaster Baninder Singh. After proper rest, this coffee will shine with aromas of exotic white florals like gardenia and milkweed, sharp citrus notes of lemongrass and kaffir lime, and sweet hints of orange peel.
